 Doug Latimer and Rachel Gauk partnered to form Shadow Light Productions in 2003. 2004 saw the release of their documentary about rapidly disappearing glaciers, The Vanishing Ice. The film was selected for its international premiere by the Hot Docs 2005 for their Canadian Spectrum Series as well as by many other festivals for screenings. It was later broadcast on CBC Country Canada in 2006 as well as distributed throughout North America by FilmWest Associates. By 2007, Shadow Light Productions had released an hour long one off documentary about Jasper National Park, that aired in Canada on CLT, ACCESS and on CBC’s Country Canada as well as The Travel Channel in the United States.
